I compared bokeh balls at these apertures next to intermediate ones. Since it's almost Christmas, it was a perfect time for this test. f/2 to f/2.2.

The manual focusing on mine feels decently smooth, very well-dampened, and it offers a lot of fine control. It has more friction than the 85 f/1.8D, 35 f/2.0D, and pre-D 50 f/1.8 AF that I've also got in front of me right now.

Notice that the Sony 24GM colors follow the trend of other GM lenses with a slight greenish/cooler bias whereas Loxia colors are slightly warmer and neutral in comparison.
